A lacy fern with zigzag midribs. This fern grows along the edges of the reserve near the trig point forming yellowish patches. The fern fronds are quite harsh to touch. It can give off quite a smell in warm weather. The name ring fern comes from its growth habit in open pastures where in forms ring like patterns. This pattern is not seen along the edges of the reserve.
